Our Curriculum
Count Down to Kindergarten Program
Our teachers and staff are guided by the Creative Curriculum, which is a complete preschool program for ages 3-5 that is titled Count Down to Kindergarten. Our Count Down to Kindergarten program is filled with developmentally appropriate hands-on learning experiences in math, science, language arts, movement, music and social activities. We pride ourselves on a low student to teacher ratio. Our teachers develop age-appropriate activities that introduce and strengthen and social skills. Visit our center for more information.
Early Head Start
Child's Play offers Early Head Start to income eligible families. Early Head Start is a comprehensive child development program that serves children birth to 3 years and their families. This is an infant/toddler focused program that has the overall goal of increasing the social competence of young children in low income families.
Head Start
Child's Play offers Head Start to income eligible families. Head Start is a comprehensive child development program that serves children from 3 to 5 years and their families. These are child focused programs and have the overall goal of increasing the social competence of young children in low-income families.
Before and After School Program/Summer Program
Child's Play offers a summer program for school age childern that reinforces the basic skills they learn during the school year through various activities.
Other Activities
In addition to the ‘basics’, we offer children a range of gross motor and creative opportunities including weekly music classes, dramatic play, and recreation and sports. We strive to include enrichment activities that extend our students knowledge and understanding of the world outside the classroom. Students take various field trips throughout the year to enhance their learning experiences.
Parent/Child Workshops
Child's Play is also committed to parent education. For interested parents, we offer a number of seminars throughout the year to help you better understand and support your children’s development.
